Version 5.0 to 6.0 Modifications

Space Radiation 6 has been extensively updated for the latest 32 and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Previous versions had been preserving backwards-compatibility with earlier operating systems such as Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT. This has been limiting the capabilities of the software and led to some faulty outputs with the old Microsoft Write format. The new software runs correctly on all supported systems.

The new software now uses the current standard Windows installation. It has been comprehensively tested on Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit). The algorithms generate exactly the same results as Version 5. User experience should be much improved.

User manual revisions include updating to the current HTML standard, improving the appearance of formulas and symbols. The report generating function and the file listing function now display standard HTML documents in your browser. Report printing functions now utilize the standard WordPad application and run flawlessly.

A major improvement is the replacement of the obsolete parallel port key with a USB hardware key. This allows you to install and use Space Radiation on laptops and newer desktop systems without parallel ports.

Upgraders may install Space Radiation with confidence that it is 100% compatible with their existing files and databases.
