[215] Solid Shielding Distributions
Perform raytracing through an infinite slab or from
any point within a solid sphere, cylinder, or box to find the
distribution of shielding thicknesses.

This package contains four modules that generate Space Radiation shielding
files for various geometries. Results may then be used in all Space Radiation
transport computations.
These functions are a companion to the Shell Shielding Distributions. The
infinite slab represents the maximum effectiveness of a given shielding thickness; the spherical
shell represents the minimum effectiveness.
- Infinite Slab
- Exposure is from one side only. Options include slab thickness and number of output bins and trial rays.
- Solid Sphere
- Options include sphere radius, position inside sphere, and number of output bins and trial rays.
- Solid Cylinder
- Options include cylinder radius and height, position inside cylinder, and number of output bins and trial rays.
- Solid Box
- Options include box dimensions, position inside box, and number of output bins and trial rays.
¹ The 3d rendering was performed
with software that is not currently available as a Space Radiation
module.
