[212] Environment Paths
Evaluate Space Radiation environments at each point on any
orbit. Determine what fraction of the mission these environments fall within
limits that you set.
This package includes four modules that compute Space Radiation environments
at each point on any orbit, and a Path Analysis module.
- Magnetic Field Properties
- The magnetic field strength, dip angle, deviation, radial
component, N-S component, E-W component, or L-shell parameter for any
field model.
- Geomagnetic Shielding
- The vertical geomagnetic cutoff, either normal or stormy.
- Trapped Protons
- The AP-8 trapped proton intensity for any magnetic field model
and proton energy.
- Trapped Electrons
- The AE-8 trapped electron intensity for any magnetic field model
and electron energy.
- Path Analysis
- Quickly reads through the environment path file to determine what
fraction of the mission, or how much time, the spacecraft environment
falls within limits you specify. Limits include both an upper and
lower bound.
The environment path files created by these modules may be listed on
screen, written to a text file for further processing, or displayed
as color plots using the Instant Graphics module.
